This is a celebration of the very fine novels and short stories of Stan Barstow.

A new book has just come out in the UK called Modern Delights; it is a lovely little book, inspired by J B Priestley's 1949 book Delights. Published by Faber and Faber for Waterstones, it is full of short contributions from various writers and celebrities on various subjects - Stan Barstow has contributed an essay on Beer at Midday.

It costs a tenner and all the proceeds go to Dyslexia Action and the London Library.
