The play Stringer's Last Stand, by Stan Barstow and Alfred Bradley, was adapted from two short stories in this collection; Holroyd's Last Stand and Principle. The play was performed in 1971 at York Theatre Royal, and also as a radio play in 1972. The playscript was published by Samuel French.
